Mozambique drafts national sea turtle conservation strategy

The first-ever national workshop on the conservation of marine turtles in Mozambique was held in Maputo from 22-23 November 2006.

The well-attended gathering was convened by the Ministry for Coordination of Environment Affairs, with organisational support from WWF-Mozambique and the ‘Marine Turtle Working Group’.

Advisory Committee appointment of Ali Al-Kiyumi confirmed

The Secretariat is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ali Al-Kiyumi (Sultanate of Oman) to the IOSEA Advisory Committee.

Mr. Al-Kiyumi currently serves as Director General for Nature Conservation in the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Environment. More »
