The IOSEA Projects Database has received a major injection of new content with the addition or updating of more than 50 entries from the Western Indian Ocean.

FROM THE SECRETARIAT
The Profile of the Month for October features
the new IOSEA Technical Support and Capacity-Building
Programme, details of which were communicated
to Signatory States over the past few weeks. We
hope that Focal Points – particularly those from
countries eligible to benefit from this programme
– will seize the opportunity to take advantage
of the expertise on offer.
In addition to the major effort to update the
Projects Database (see article above), we would
like to draw attention to updates made to the
Flipper Tag series in September. Thanks are extended
to everyone who has contributed to this ongoing
exercise.
Finally,
it is worth mentioning that the United Arab Emirates
has added many sites of importance to marine turtles
in the Online
Reporting Facility. [In the Viewer module,
click on the 'Search Site Threats' tab, select
'United Arab Emirates', and click 'List Sites'.
