SATTAHIP, Thailand — Mrs. Chalot Tonawanick, the director of office of organization communication of Thai Beverage (public) Co., Ltd., served as the chairman for the “Refill Love, Refill Heart For Mom With Thai Bev” ceremony at the navy’s center to preserve sea turtles, Amphur Sattahip, Chonburi province. Welcoming the participants was the commissioner, Captain Paisarn Meesri, the commander, and the representative of Rear Admiral Noppadol Suphakorn.
Mrs. Chalot said this was the 7th time the event was held to show respect to Queen Sirikit, who is celebrating her 80th birthday, and also to build love and good relationships between mothers and children on the upcoming Mother’s day holiday on August 12, 2012.
This year’s event theme was “Mothers and children having fun to give life to the Thai sea,” to help preserve the ocean environment and aquatic animals.
Organizers brought together 120 pairs of mothers and children belonging to the Facebook fan page of “Thai Bev” for the turtle-release. Also taking part in the event was actress Took Chanokwanan and her children, daughter Praew and son Phum.
The moms and children then released sea turtle and aquatic animals to the sea at the beach nearby. Providing musical entertainment was the singer, Kob-Songsit Roongnoppakhunsri, who sang sweet songs for the honored mothers and children.
