India: Save dolphins and olive ridley 30 Dec 2012

In the last month itself due to these trespassing of trawlers one bottle nose dolphin, one ham backed dolphin and over 150 rare olive ridley had been destroyed and their dead bodies had been to the sea shore and some times owners of these machine boats, removed the bodies of these rare animals before it had been observed by the government to diminish the reactions of environmentalists.

There had been restrictions at the sea beach of Puri, for trawlers and other business houses to run these inside sea water, and the prime reason for this was that due to thee machine running inside water, the rare creatures living here like that of rare dolphins and olive ridley, had been crushed with it and more and more these creatures had been found dead and if these trawlers were not to be stopped immediately, then there would be the time when all thee rare creatures would be extinguished from these sea areas forever. Puri sea beach is a rare in its kind with the beautiful sea waves came to you calmly and it is only the second place in the world to have it and for this very reasons this had become the breeding ground for rare and only found here, the olive ridley and also rare dolphins as this race of dolphins found here, but due to commercialization and to capture more and more fish and the business houses wanted these to export and earned money for this, despite the ban on trawlers, more and more of it had been here and they in the process accidentally struck with these animals and killed them.

Due to these trends in the last month, two rare dolphins and 150 olive ridley, the olive colored sea turtle was found dead and their dead body had reached to the shore and in seeing this like minded people were very upset with these set up and they were surprised to see that these business houses had been doing this under the eye of administration. The billion dollar question is why the government of the day unable to curb the illegal fishing activities of these trawlers inside prohibited sea water. As per many environmentalists from November first, the rare dolphins and olive ridley started their mating processes , as this is natural time for them , they for this tend to come near the sea shore, and apart form these sea creatures, many jellies fishes and other fishes also came here attracted to these. For this very reason, to allow them free, there had been ban on trawlers and machine boats in and around these areas. But what it had been seen here, the owners of these trawlers were not listening to these and them had became deaf heard. They had been running these machine boats from Puri sea beach to Chilka and then to Astarang, the entire areas had been the mating place of rare dolphins and olive ridley and other above said sea creatures. That was why, the sea creatures had been travelling these areas for mating and the trawlers had been there so they were trespassing these creatures and with it the rare dolphins and olive ridley hit by these and dead at the spot and this had been the real shame that these trawlers had not been listening to these orders and also on the other hand the government of the day unable to implement its order.

The forest departments also acceding that, these deaths of these most valued sea creatures were the cause of concern but still it had not been able to stop this trespass on the part of machine boats and trawlers. There had been combined patrolling on the part of forest, sea and fishery departments inside the sea, still there had been instances that some big trawlers had been there in the last Friday and they had been capturing fish from there. The environmentalists had been worry in these trends and how these illegal activities to b stopped could was the matter of grave concern. The way these creatures had been eliminating and that to in their breeding season, majors grave concern for their survival of these rarest of rare animals.
