| Step 1: Seek out YoT activities and join in |
Search the YoT Event Calendar to find out what activities and events are happening across the region and join in the celebrations. You can search by date, month, or by country and find the details of how to participate. You might also identify a marine turtle conservation group in your area, and volunteer to help with their on-the-ground conservation work.
| Step 2: Organise YoT Activities and events |
Consider organising an activity or event as part of the campaign. It doesn't have to be a big event. It could be as simple as putting up marine turtle posters in local schools and around your community. Complete the online Event Submission form so that your activity or event is included in the YoT Calendar. Need some ideas? Take a look at the IOSEA suggestions.
Discuss your campaign ideas with the IOSEA Secretariat and join the online discussions in the 'Turtle Talk' Forum. You might also contact members of the YoT Steering Committee and the Focal Point for the IOSEA Marine Turtle MoU in your country.
| Step 3: Give your support |
In addition to participating in YoT events and developing your own campaign activities you can also offer financial support to the YoT campaign. There are a number of IOSEA Secretariat projects that are unable to be fully developed unless financial support is secured. You could also consider offering financial or in-kind support to marine turtle projects or get involved with a marine turtle conservation group that is working in the region.
